APL Dynamics builds seats and structural hardware for flight simulators: rare, heavy, high-value products that used to sell through email and manual quoting. Every sale meant calculating freight, state taxes and made-to-order lead times by hand.
The challenge: let a customer anywhere in the US explore the catalog, study every piece in detail and pay online — no account, no phone call.
The Solution
Guest checkout with real-time freight quoting.
We built a custom e-commerce where freight is quoted live against the Estes Express preferred rate — commercial dock or residential liftgate delivery — and taxes compute themselves by destination state. Payments run on Stripe.
Fully custom products never reach the cart: the system routes the customer to a quote form that lands straight in the manufacturer's inbox. Everything else sells itself.

flyapldynamics.comHigh-resolution gallery with zoom, embedded video, physical specs and estimated manufacturing time per product — with the "Not for real flight operations" legal notice always visible.
Admin panel
Internal systemThe manufacturer manages catalog, categories, orders and refunds with zero technical help. Registering a tracking number automatically fires the shipping update email to the customer.
